Novosibirsk's potential
In 1943, the Russian Academy of Sciences opened up its Siberian branch in Novosibirsk, which signaled the beginning of the city's transformation into the educational hub of Eastern Russia. For now there are over 30 institutions of higher education (institutes, universities) in Novosibirsk. Four of them prepare specialists in information technologies and software engineering.
